How I Met My Sugar Daddy
How I met my sugar daddy at ManRay
Or, as they used to say in Ancient Brooklyn, Rich or Poor it’s Nice to have Money
It all began over twenty years ago, in Cambridge’s Manray Club, a venue that was then devoted to the fetish people with a serious “minimum all black” dress code. But our own Sally O’Malley noticed one club goer who stood out. The old fellow was dressed in a plaid shirt, blue jeans, and a comically bad hair wig.
Sally’s curiosity was triggered, and she asked him how he got in, dressed as he was It was easy, “Stevie Baby” replied, “I wrote a 200 check for the bouncer”. And, as he informed Sally, earlier in the day he also just simply gave a family a check for 1800.
The boastful fellow then asked Sally if she’d like him to also write a 200 check for her, too. Not one to let a good opportunity pass her by, Sally replied, “why not make it for 500” And, he did, and then vanished into the mists of the club, and Sally just chuckled it off.
Two days later, on a whim, she tried to cash the check at her bank, and it turned out to be as good as gold, and Sally was 500 in the green
Was Sally one of Stevie’s Hobbies
Sally knew from the get go that she wasn’t the only audience member of the Stevie Baby Show. There were, in fact, at least three other participants on the payroll. But in the end, it was a chance meeting at Manray that led to a multidecade friendship for Sally and Stevie.
About Stevie Baby
Later, when she contacted “Stevie Baby” she noticed that he never stopped talking and never listened. This state of hypomania also manifested itself as hyperactivity, increased energy and overconfidence. She also learned that this colorful character, as annoying as he was, was also completely nonviolent, so she felt comfortable with him. She also found out that his girlfriend of 10 years had, unfortunately, recently left him, leaving him depressed, or at least as depressed as a hypomaniac can be.
He’s been living with his parents for many years, and one of Stevie’s other defining characteristics is that he’s very knowledgeable about cameras. Indeed, in spite of Stevie’s mania, he’d been able to work successfully in camera shops quite productively during that time.
Sally’s Relationship with Stevie Baby was completely asexual. Stevie didn’t even like to be touched, let alone hugged. His manner alienated most people, so he had no friends, so she took him shopping for clothing, they went for lunch, just the ordinary things friends do together. But he was quite generous with Sally, to the tune of 2,000 a month for over twenty years.
And there were numerous hints that Stevie came from money. He actually inherited another 350,000 from his family while in Sally’s company, but while the rest of the family allowed him some access to the fund, they wisely never allowed him to control it.
Stevie Baby follows Sally to Australia
Sally went on vacation with some of her relatives to Australia and New Zealand. In a further blog, you’ll learn about what she did there, and let me tell you in advance – you’ll just love it
Anyway …
Stevie was definitely Not Invited. But he knew she’d be in Sydney, and he also knew what neighborhood, so he plied the streets, relentlessly, until he found his quarry. No harm was done, but Sally finally put her foot down.
The INTERVENTION Stevie Baby on Meds
Sally hooked him up with an MD who put him on Meds, and that’s not all. Sally realized he needed some structure in his life, so she insisted he get a job, even though he obviously didn’t need the money.
And yes, he got better and the hypomania eased. Sally felt that the Meds, as well as the stabilizing routine of the job helped Stevie to finally get over the loss of his girlfriend. He even started making friends, and yes, he stopped the payments to Sally. And let’s face it, she missed the money, but more important to her was the fact her friend Stevie Baby was now, finally, living a better life.
Everyone Deserves Some Kindness
Even Stevie. During his worst years, Sally seemed to be the only one he could communicate with at all. But being followed halfway around the world to Australia That’s the most egregious violation of boundaries that even I, Red Bottoms, have ever heard of
We are still friends to this day but I am off the payroll now
Sally and Stevie still keep in touch. He is one of these guys that sit in panera bread all day, talking to a small gang of retired guys. He is happy for the most part, living his life the way he does.
